Quickbooks to EBSuite?
A customer recently asks: My business is centered around Quickbooks. We have a virtual team of 7 to 8 people located in various part of the country, not all of them having access to Quickbooks. How do I pick a record from Quickbooks, and assign tasks to my team?
Before we start, a simple checklist: Quickbooks installed on a Windows PC with a public IP address
an EBSuite account
You have setup the Quickbooks / EBSuite connection
You know about the action sheets concept that create tasks automatically
If you have the above, let's begin! Use the [Start] icon
Locate the [Start] icon in the top left of your EBSuite screen, click to bring up the graphical flows. Make sure Time & Invoice is selected. This is where Quickbooks link resides.
Select QB Customer Search Click on the Intuit Quickbooks icon, and select QB Customer Search.
We are assuming that you have already setup your Quickbooks to EBSuite connection. If you have not done so, you should finish that setup first. Search for customers in your Quickbooks database
Use Quickbooks customer name search.
For each of the search result, you should have an option to save it as an Organization, or as a Contact in EBSuite. If the record is already in, you will also have the option to Sync/Merge.
Create Task while you are here As you create ( or merge ) EB record, you will have the choice to trigger an [Action Sheet], where you can create multiple tasks and assign to multiple people with one click.
If you are not familiar with the [Action Sheet] concept, please take a look at this blog post And that is it
By these few simple clicks you should have imported a record from your Quickbooks into EBSuite, created and assigned multiple tasks to your coworkers around the country!
